The Warrior Dash, etc.

So remember back in January when I announced that I was going to get in shape to run the Warrior Dash that I had signed up for?  Well….I did follow through with the actual event, but no real training leading up to it like I had originally planned.  But I ran/walked it, and I had a blast!   We did this on May 1st so this post is a little overdue.  But I wanted to document this event, so here’s a glimp of this crazy, one-of-kind day.

SISTER WARRIORS!  Jill (24), Kelly (26), Lisa (31) and me (34).  I felt the need to put ages because my sisters look so hot, don’tcha ya think?

My get-up close-up…”Mud Mama”, and some things that define me as a Mama.  :)

The diaper was almost the only item that was still there by the end of the race.  And it was bloated and gigantic.  And did I mention, HEAVY?

The whole friends/family/friends of friends Warrior gang.  Since the event was about 5 miles from my house, we all met at my house to ride there together.

During the event (pics courtesy of Brightroom Photography).  We really did slide down a mud slide, climb a cargo net, swim in a NASTY pond (which I tee-teed in by the way) and jump over fire.  Hillary, Jill’s college bestie, is with me in the pics.  Hillary, my sis-in-law, Charity, and Christopher and I all pretty much “ran” together – bringing up the tail end…BUT not dead last!  We did get lapped by some of the runners from the next heat though!

Did you see it?!  I crossed the finish line!!!  Woo-hoo!!!

After pics…

That Polly Pocket had one heck of a time!

It was such a blast!  I recommend a mud run to anyone – in shape or not!  I can’t wait to do another one.

Change of subject…same weekend Miss C turned five months old.  REALLY?!  Where does the time go?

Here’s a clean pic to end my post.  I recently snapped this of my sweet girls.  Love them!
