A soccer mom, without the mini-van

Big A has officially started soccer.

I have to admit that I didn’t really know what it would be like. I was worried how too many games and practices would cut into our evenings and weekends and just how it might be unorganized and frankly, a hassle.
But I was hooked on Tuesday night, at her first game. It was so much fun! Being a former high school athlete, my competitive nature and inner coach was revealed. I was so into it.
A did great! She’s very quick and a real hustler. She played three different positions, including goalie. She fell on the ball three times to prevent the other team from scoring. As my dad always said, “way to sacrifice your body!”
Now, don’t worry. I’m not going to run out and get a mini-van. No offense to any mini-van moms. It’s just not my style…I’m more of the Tahoe kind of mom…a Tahoe with a dent in the side, suckers stuck to the carpet and Goldfish pieces scattered strategically throughout for an emergency snack. :)
Here are some pics of my cute soccer girl.

I know! I love that one, too! Wish I could've been there for her first game but we'll get to see her play at some point! Allison, sounds like your inner "Dad" came out! GO, ALEX, GO! (Oh, and I love her number!)

What a cute tushy shot! She is so cute. My competitiveness comes out during Sammi's games too. But watch out, some parents can be awful! Hopefully you won't have one on your team that yells at your kid from the sidelines. Yes, that happened to us.

Love your description of your Tahoe! Sounds like my Murano.
