Lots to share

Today we took our circus to the Farmer’s Market.

Now I’ve never really gotten into the whole pumpkin patch thing…What do people really do with the pumpkins? Pumpkin pie? Jack-o-lanterns? Both are very cool and Martha Stewart. I guess I’m not a very fun mom, because I’ve never done either…mess, mess, mess! But, I knew it would be a fun outing with friends, so we went.

Wow, I never knew they were so many choices. The colors were beautiful, and it was neat seeing all the different pumpkin varieties. We tasted lots of fruits and veggies, too, and the kids loved that, especially since they were STARVING.

We bought a daddy pumpkin, a mama one and 2 babies. Big A plays with her pumpkins kind of like the way she plays with her Polly Pockets. Thank goodness, though, we don’t have to try and put those impossible clothes on these fruits.

Did you think a pumpkin was a fruit or vegetable? I had to google it. Anyway, here are a couple pics of our pumpkin pickin’.

We also stopped by a nearby fabric store to find some fabric for a chair that I found on Craigslist for $20. Well, that’s not counting the gas I spent to go and get this chair. On Friday, I drove 120 miles round trip for this find, but man, wasn’t it worth it? Check out this steal!

I debated about what fabric I wanted to buy to recover it. Print? Solid? Funky? Classic? I chose a classic chocolate brown just so it would be a versatile for pictures. I’m still iffy about my choice, but I think it will look beautiful. I get to pick it up in the 18th. Stay tuned for the AFTER! I can’t wait.

I’ve been busy shooting. Thanks to everyone who has booked and to the friends and families I’ve already photographed. I’m having lots of fun!

Today I had a shoot with two of the most beautiful, sweetest sisters. Heather and Hollie made it so fun and effortless…total naturals for the camera. And they said they weren’t. Whatever!

And a couple nights ago, I had the chance to meet a family with four fun, energetic kiddos. They loved being out in the country and seeing all the animals, and I think their pics prove it. It was hard to pick my favorites.

I’ll end with an invitation I designed for my good friend, Katie. Her adorable little girl turned one, and we had a great photo shoot. I used my favorite pictures for her invitation, so I just decided to post it. (and because I haven’t posted a design in a LONG time!)

One last thing…I’m pretty much booked for October. Please contact me if you want pics this fall and/or for Christmas cards. I still have spots available in November, but they’re filling fast!

In trouble is what y’all are…

And, I know that a pumpkin is a fruit because it has seeds – like a tomato… I’m just smart like that :0)

Very, very cute pictures and invitation. I love that you catch the subjects in an unposed sort of way.

You buy chairs like CISD buys curriculum..haha!!
