Adorable baby photos and two funny stories

On Thursday I had the opportunity to take photos of my sweet friend’s (and favorite former asst. principal) twin baby boys. The entire family is precious, and I am so happy for them.

Then my sister, Joel and adorable niece, Lily, came into town, partly to escape Hurricane Ike and also so that we could all love on Lily. I got some great shots of them (and Little A) in front of this old gas station where I’ve been wanting to shoot.

The adorable B boys…they were SO good during the shoot!

Tia Lisa, Uncle Joel and Lily:

And my sweet Little A:

Ok, story time…

Funny story 1. While I took photos of Lisa, Joel and Lily I put Little A in the car (which was right beside us), so that I wouldn’t have to worry about her getting near the road. When we were finished, we walked to the car and noticed she had a mouthful of something…TREATS! And we’re not talking Goldfish. We’re talking dog treats! The funniest thing about it was that she really liked them…until we freaked out. Then it scared her and she started crying.
Funny story 2, although it happened before funny story 1. On the way home from the twin baby photo shoot, I thought I needed some lunch at Taco Bueno in Rockwall. I drove through the Wal-Mart parking lot to get there, and there were some barricades, but they were pushed to the side. Not thinking much about it, I drove around it, because that bean burrito was calling my name. All of a sudden, I realized I HAD DRIVEN IN ABOUT A FOOT OF WET CONRETE!!! I know, you’re wondering, who would do that? I’m thinking the same thing. I am a TOTAL MORON. Somehow after many stares and much spinning out, I got unstuck. It was a miracle! I left the scene like a hit and run. I felt so bad that I had messed up that concrete. I called Christopher, and he told me what to do. Get the truck washed and go back to the scene and talk to the construction company about the barricades not totally blocking off the area. Absolutely not! I was beyond humiliated. Luckily I went straight to the car wash and they were able to get almost all of it off. I still can’t believe that I did that.
I’ll just chalk it up to being an Aggie.

Love the pics AND the stories. I may not be talented enough to take the pictures, but I know the stories could have just as easily happened to me! Thanks for sharing all of it!

Thanks for the great laughs! Kudos to you for being honest and not telling anyone….that would be my first thought and to bribe my kids not to tell. :) I know, that is not a good example! My sister drove off from a gas station and took the gas hose with her. Do you feel better now? :)

Everytime that I read that story about the concrete I just double over with laughter. I can totally imagine the scene. Just know that you are not alone, I would probably do the same thing too!

The pictures are of course beautiful! You are so talented!

We miss you all too, talk to you soon!
