Busy, busy, busy

I wanted to make my title “Busy as a bee” (with a strike through the word “bee” but couldn’t find that option to do it) and then put caterpillar. Cheesy, I know, but very fitting for this post. I have been SO busy, staying up till 2 and 3 in the morning working on invitations and photo-editing, and I’ve not had time to post until now. THANK YOU FOR KEEPING ME BUSY! I truly feel SO lucky to have people wanting my services! (And thank you, too, for all the compliments on my work. I really appreciate it!)

Ok, so back to the title. When we got back from Houston after a fun time at Tia and Joel’s house, I got ready to clean out the caterpillar bowl with the dried out milkweed. Before leaving on Thursday I carefully examined every leaf, and there was no sign of any eggs or the caterpillar that had hatched a few days before. (I was SO bummed and totally baffled that it disappeared somehow.) But as I reached my hand into the bowl, LO AND BEHOLD, a much bigger caterpillar was there eating the dried out milkweed. I was so excited. Seriously, like a kid-kind-of-excited. OUR CATERPILLAR IS ALIVE AND THRIVING. (If you missed the previous post, we’re doing a science experiment here at the Andrews’ house – “From Caterpillar to Chrysalis to Monarch”) I know many of you may not be as thrilled, but I am pumped.

Circled below, the caterpillar about 2 days old. Taken 5/2/08.

The caterpillar now. Taken 5/12/08.

The A girls are excited, but probably not as much as I am.

So, anyway, funny thing we went and picked fresh milkweed, threw out the old stuff, and the caterpillar found the remains of a tiny piece of old, dried out leaf and ate that instead. So bizarre. I would’ve thought it preferred the new greens…I need to research that.

Here’s a picture of my sister, Lisa, who graduated from the University of Houston (Go Cougars!) this weekend, with a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. We’re so proud of you, Tia!

I took some preggo pics, too. Isn’t she beautiful? She could so beat me at Homecoming Queen now.

I’ll soon have updated designs to post, if I’m not too busy attending to this cute little caterpillar.

Those are awesome pics! The pride in Tia’s face in that graduation pic is priceless! I am so proud of both of you!

I love the pictures of your sister. Wow! Do y’all look alike or what?!? I might be sending some more clients your way. My second cousin is getting married and she wanted to do something different for her invites. My sister told my aunt about you, and then I showed her your website. She is a business woman, and she was very impressed with your website. She liked the fact that it was very informative and the pricing was all very clear. Very professional! Just thought you might want to know! She said that she was going to contact you, so, hopefully, it will work our that you’ll do her invites!

Hey Allison,

Our plans changed very last minute, due to my dad’s house flooding. So, I have to cancel our photo shoot this week. I am SO bummed!!! We will be in Texas in June. I might try then if you are free.

Thanks!
Julie Beth
